Off-campus Housing
Living off campus creates a new set of responsibilities for students, which can be both exciting and challenging. Students living off-campus will have to navigate new experiences, such as finding a rental unit, signing a lease and being a responsible tenant and neighbor. The Office of Off Campus and Commuter Student Life can provide you with information and support to assist you with this transition and also keep you connected to the University. At the same time, The OGE will assist you in finding accommodations off-campus. The OGE receives housing posting requests from various sources in and around the community, creating a database of available housing in the area. Likewise, members of our student staff may have contact information for their own landlords. The Office of Residence Life can also provide information and assistance to students searching for off-campus housing. Know that exchange students holding a J-1 Visa are required to live on-campus.
University Housing
Residence Life offers a wide variety of housing options for students interested in living on-campus. The three main styles of accommodation include residence halls, apartments, and houses. Traditionally, first-year students are offered double-rooms that share a community restroom. Sophomore students are offered suite-style housing, in which two double rooms share a restroom. Upper-class and graduate students are offered apartments and houses, which have more private options for residents. Amenities include laundry facilities, furnished rooms, free basic cable, and free internet. Housing is available during each academic semester and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
International students must complete a housing request form as part of their application process if they plan to live on campus. Please know that graduate housing is extremely limited and the University has no accommodations for families. Exchange students studying in 糖心短视频app for a single semester or academic year will be assigned to any available housing and requests are not guaranteed.
Please visit the Residence Life for information on housing options, fees, contact information and more.
Dining on Campus
The University offers a choice of three providing Unlimited, 14 or 10 meals per week. These plans are available only when The University is officially opened and NOT over vacation periods, before the start of classes, or after classes are finished. Freshmen are required to be on the Unlimited plan.
Meal Plan participation is voluntary for commuters, off-campus students living in private housing and resident students living in University housing not mandated for a meal plan. The upper-class housing, such as apartments and houses, doesn't’t require a student to have a meal plan because a full kitchen is offered.
Once the contract is signed, students living in upper-class areas may reduce their meal plan only during the first two weeks of the semester or Intersession;although they can increase it at any time throughout the year. Any request to change the contract must be put in writing to the Director of Dining Services and will only be considered based on financial hardship or medical necessity.
Meal plans can be used in the DeNaples Student Center at either the Fresh Food Company all-you-care-to-eat style of service on the 3rd floor, or at the 1st floor Food Court. The Food Court facility features national favorites such as Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, and Which Wich. The Food Court's tableside center stage features other great options to choose from including Oath Pizza, a pasta station, and Grill.
Meal plans can also be used at the Mulberry Food Court, which features a salad station, deli counter, and a hot food station. Alongside the food court is the P.O.D. Market which offers a wide range of selections available in a local grocery or convenience store.
